My dad, Kandra, Lance and I went to Heber for the 4th of July. It was so beautiful. My mom's yard looked amazing thanks to the great efforts of our dear neighbor, Ron Squire. My mom planted many perennials that kept the yard looking beautiful without her being there. It's the first time I've been home that she hasn't been there. It was quite lonely without her. It's sad to think that she won't make it back there.
Kandra and I went through my parents house and CLEANED. Clothes were donated, paper work was looked through and tossed, cupboards cleared, and on and on. We spent about 2.5 days on her pantry alone and only got about half way through it. My mom had her own pharmacy of supplements, and a 5 year supply of food. Not to mention lots of pictures, games, canning jars, yadda yadda yadda. It was hard undoing years of work. There is still lots to do there, but I feel like we made a good start.
I took these pictures in the morning....
Every time I see a hollyhock I think of my dad. They are his favorite flower. |
....then all of a sudden a hail storm blew in and created a mess!

We had a great time in Heber. The weather was so nice. I love monsoon season in Heber! It rained everyday and everything was nice and green. It will be sad when my parents are both gone and I won't really have a reason to go there anymore.
