People are often unreasonable and self-centered. Forgive them anyway.
If you are kind, people may accuse you of ulterior motives. Be kind anyway.
If you are honest, people may cheat you. Be honest anyway.
If you find happiness, people may be jealous. Be happy anyway.
The good you do today may be forgotten tomorrow. Do good anyway.
Give the world your best and it may never be enough. Give your best anyway.
For you see, in the end, it is between you and God. It never was between you and them anyway.

Christmas and New Year happenings

I needed a change with my hair and so my neighbor chopped it off and also cut Regan's. I LOVE it!! Afterward, the girls wanted some pictures taken with our new doo's so we got our silly on. What cute kids I have.

We had some pictures taken on Sunday. I made these skirts for the girls for Christmas and I loved them so much that I had to make me one.

Sophie loves her 'bootiful' dress.
The girls kept running in circles chasing eachother.

I made this quilt for Jason for Christmas. It is a twin size and a big thanks to my mom for helping me to get it done. I must say that I LOVE it. I love the colors. I love the wonky blocks. I love the quilting And I love the fabric.

This is the back of the quilt. I love it as much as the front. I did mini wonky blocks to kind of tie in with the front.

I had an old sweater that didn't fit anymore, so I took it apart and made it into a sweater dress for Sophie.
But she doesn't like it because it doesn't twirl. She is trying to check it's twirliness in this picture.

My mother-in-law has a bunch of trico and flannel fabric and I got bored after Christmas and made this in my spare time. Regan fell in love with it. Just a nice cuddle blanket.

I made four of these Christmas runners and can't wait to use one of them next year.

I really like the loopy quilting on it. Kind of makes it a little whimsical.

You are lookin' hot in your cute new skirt and your pointed boots! I'm so proud! It is a great picture of all of you.
The quilt is so creative. I noticed the crazy sewing lines you made all over it in all directions. I bet at first Mom was going crazy with it because they weren't straight lines.
Table runners-I want one. ThAnKs:)

Kristal! You are amazing! I love everything you did and am floored by how you complete so much while still chasing cute girls all day. I'm so motivated to sew in the morning and then by nighttime when I have time, I'm too pooped. You're inspiring and I love you!

Well, the wait (for you to post again) was worth it!! Awesome 'doos on both of you! We love the famuily picture and your precious girls showing off and enjoying their adorable new skirts--reminds me of two other little girls I used to know in their twirly Christmas dresses;) The quilts and runner are so great--the random lines are unique and very manly to go with the pirate theme of the quilt! I love the loopy swirls on the runner--everything looks so complicated. I'll be glad when my sciatica calms down enough that I can sit and sew--you definitely have put me in the mood!

Wow! I am continually amazed at your craftiness & talent. How do you do that?!? :) Everything is so cute, and I bet it feels so good to say "I made that." I wouldn't know as I only WISH I could make that kind of stuff. haha. But good job. Keep posting pictures- I love it.
Thanks for your compliments on our pictures!
And thank you for your concern. You may have heard now, but my Dad is in jail. So it is as if we've lost our father (but not in an honorable way) in a hurtful, betrayed way. It's been a hard time for us, but yes we (I) am doing better now. We can think of the situation w/ out crying now, but just as- that's the facts of it. That's the consequences of that lifestyle. Anyway, we're making it through and we've learned a lot from it and grown closer through the trial. Thanks for asking. I hope you are doing well now too. I think hard times like the ones we have experienced recently just take some time to heal. Not that we forget or that we should forget, but it just seems to get less heartbreaking over time.
