So during Jason's last two weeks of school I took the girls down to Heber, then on to Las Vegas, and finishing up in St. George.
We had a great time in Heber. It was beautifully green and the temperatures were amazing from the monsoons. Loved it!! I was able to help my parents around the yard with the weed eater and trimming trees. It was nice to be able to help them in some way. It rained every afternoon I was there and after one particular pour down the whole street in front of my parents house was flooded. It was a gully washer!! The girls and I went out there after it had started receding and played. They had a great time. Brought so many memories back to me of when I was younger. We'd go out with the Cheney's after a gully washer and stomp around. Good times. We also got to see Wendy and her kids. The girls love playing with the boys. They roughed Hunter up pretty good.
We went to Las Vegas to see Kandra and her family. Kandra talked me into cutting Sophie's hair. Her first hair cut (sniff sniff).....I love the first two pics. She said, "take this happy face. Now my mad face." What a goof ball. She is a little pink cheeked from swimming all day. She is a fish out of water.
The color of them really wasn't anything to look at, but it had some great contours and details that I didn't want them to get lost in the sea of black. So I distressed it to highlight those details. I think they turned out pretty awesome.
Then on to St. George. We hung out for a few days before Jason joined us after he got out of school. The girls had a good time playing in the water, getting messy with moon sand, jumpin' at jumpin' jacks, playing with cousins, and trying to get daddy wet as you can see below.
So after being gone 3 weeks it was good to get back home. Can't wait to do it again next year!!!

It truly is like looking back in time with the girls in the water! Sophie looks just like you, when I watched you outside:) Love her new haircut. Regan looks like she had a blast at Grandma Joys:) It was so fun seeing all of you too. Thank goodness for phones, I love talking to the girls, they say the funniest things.
Miss you this weekend, but I'm sure we'll see you soon! Love ya
It was great having you here with your girls in Heber. They're so funny and you do such a good job of capturing their expressions with your camera. Sophie's haircut is just perfect for her curly hair.
I love the monsoons. The yard has been so green and beautiful and I've had to turn the auto sprinklers on only occasionally.
You did such a good job with Kandra's nightstands--way to go, you upholstery diva!
Hey I helped...some....right?!? I am So glad you were there to help me and not let me do it on my own...or elss I would have totally messed them up:)
So I never did ask how you/she/ and Jason like the hair cut. She does look SO cute though. I at least have ma skills in something:)
I wished I could have been in Heber when they got all the rain. Would have been fun for G to play and splash with the girls:)
Thanks for FINALLY updating:)
Yay!! I am glad I could remember your blog address. For some reason, I couldn't get here from your profile, and I have been racking my brain trying to remember your address. I deleted my link list a month ago accidentally.
Looks like you've been busy...SUch cute pictures of the girls!
HOw's Jason doing in school? It is starting out brutal for us!!
I love the summer travels, and getting to spend time in the cool mountains. Adorable girlies as always!
I love all your pictures! Your girls are so fun! What a neat nightstand too! Your first picture with all the water makes me wish that the monsoons we have here would be in the day rather than at night. Take care you yourself. It's good to hear from you.
Okay, MISSY, you are in BIG trouble! You were in STG and we didn't get a playdate!!! Think of me next time, please! I know it is hard to see everyone you would like to in one visit, so I forgive ya;) I LOVE!!!!! can I say LOVE!!! those side drawers you did! BEAUTIFUL! I did make that quilt-my FIRST Rag Quilt ever, so I am hoping I get a baby girl to cradle in it! WHAT DID YOU DO TO DISTRESS it? Did you use SPRAY PAINT???? I really want to know the answers so email me or comment on my new blog post! THANKS GIRLIE!!!
