People are often unreasonable and self-centered. Forgive them anyway.
If you are kind, people may accuse you of ulterior motives. Be kind anyway.
If you are honest, people may cheat you. Be honest anyway.
If you find happiness, people may be jealous. Be happy anyway.
The good you do today may be forgotten tomorrow. Do good anyway.
Give the world your best and it may never be enough. Give your best anyway.
For you see, in the end, it is between you and God. It never was between you and them anyway.

New Year's Resolutions

Well I'm not really one to make new year's resolutions. As far as I'm concerned it is just something that is not going to get done and a promise to myself that I'm just going to break. However, I have been thinking about my health and Jaons's lately and frankly, I'm concerned. I have polycystic ovarian syndrome and with that comes insulin resistance which is a precursor to diabetes. I am scared to death to get diabetes. I have been wanting to do something about it, but I am stumped because I really don't like vegtables and "obviously" healthy foods. So for Christmas I got this cook book from Wendy called "Deceptively Delicious" written by the wife of Jerry Seinfeld. She had been struggling to get her children to eat their veggies so she started pureeing them and putting them in things they already liked. Anyway to make a short story short, after testing these "deceptive" recipes on her children she wrote this cook book with the help of a nutritionist to help other moms. I know it's not a novel idea, but it has got me thinking. Wendy had no idea that I had been feeling this way but she got it to help me feed the kids better meals. I am so excited about it!! I am going to use this to help me, Jason, and the kids eat better. Wend-you're the best!!! Here is a link that you can check out the book if you are interested. Anyway, that is my cliche "resolution".

Here is the question....what are all of your New Year resolutions? Leave it in the comment box.

I think your resolution is a valid one. You failed to mention, however, that I did the very same thing Seinfield's wife did all the years you were growing up (and before); I just didn't write down the recipes or write a book about it! Darn, I could have had my chance at fame and fortune. Hopefully, you will benefit by the tactic and your family also. It sure won't hurt! Let me know how it works. My resolutions are (1)to keep walking over the mountain as often as I can and (2)get my Dad's life story written before the reunion in July. The other resolutions are: to keep on keeping on! Love Mom

I love that resolution too! Kind of like the one that I made for myself...I'm doing it to get in better shape! LOL. I decided to make quarterly goals. This way I don't get bored!

Well I am glad that I can help someone in this world!!! You are such a FA sister!! It was great to see you and the family, we miss you already. My goals for the year is to be better at reading the scriptures, FHE and family prayers. Mostly I just want to be a better wife, mother and neighbor. Not too much to wish for!?!?! xoxoxo

I dont believe in new years resolutions! Never have. I just try to better myself everyday. But most of the time it does't work.
